AAA
I'm considering getting AAA, mainly for the free towing. Of course, I hope I never need it, but it'll be nice to have should something happen. My question is if you go with the membership that says "unlimited towing", do they really mean unlimited?! If I'm in TN and need to get towed back to FL, will that fall under the membership benefits?
(By towing, I really do mean "flat bedding" since our cars shouldn't be towed like other cars.)
What do you think?

Iv'e been going for a long time. Still fall off the wagon every once in a while, but I don't drink as much! This towing thing is something new I guess, so my drunk ass stays in the car while it's being towed?

HAhahaHAhaI'm a member of AAA, and while I don't have my policy in front of me at the moment, I do believe there are some restrictions to the towing. From what I recall, unlimited towing is actually capped after a certain amount of miles. I don't recall what this cap is. Although, I have had cars towed from all over Florida, which was covered. There's also a limit of how many times you can call for towing service within a year. I think they do this because many people use their friend's AAA service. While the rules and regulations may have changed, the service itself is great. Towing has always been prompt (or if you just need a jump, or some gas). AAA also offers some other great benefits such as travel books, maps and guides for free. And don't forget the discounts with participating companies. I have no complaints.
BTW, I do not work for AAA.
For the number of times in my life that I've needed roadside service, it is not worth it to me.
I can change my own flats, I stay on top of battery maintenance, I watch my gas guage, and I've only once in my life needed a tow.

Well if you own a MitSHITbishi, you may want to invest in AAA or insurance that offers free towing. My old Eclipse left me stranded several times too many, but Allstate was there to pick up that POS car and drag it to the dealer.

Doesn't Honda offer Free Road Side Assistance for the First 36M?? I could have sworn they did. I know they did on my Civic...
I've also used my Car Insurance road side service (towing) when they stole my seats. I didn't have to pay anything they just charged the ins. agency.
