Was looking around the forum to see what alarm system I should get for my S, apparently people like viper, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me a specific model, or a link to a recommended alarm for my S or something of the sort. I already got that I should get mine installed with Cu, he still working in the bestbuy at dadeland? Also, how much does he charge for the installation?

I got the 5901 model for my "S" . I also got the remote start installed also. It's illegal in Florida so you have to pay cash for it and not sure
if the guy at best buy will do that. I always use it and really like it, cause I can remote start the car and with my remote I can put the windows down
or I can also put my top down which really freaks out people cause they expect someone to be in the car.

I also got the motion sensor but its a pain in the ass with me at least, so sometimes I will turn it off.

The 1 mile distant for the alarm is crazy, i was surprised how well the signal works. One time I was inside a building, center of the building with no windows
and a few walls between me and the car and it still went off when the rain set off my motion center.

So i think this a really good one, I bought it off of ebay and a guy in delray beach installed it for me. The hood sensor "pin" wears out after a while and that might
need to be replaced but besides that everything works well.

Even though you can have all this, the professional car thief can still steal your cars or people will tow your car and people might think its a repossesion with this economy so i always suggest full coverage so if your car gets jacked your insurance will at least pay you for it....
