AutoX Events!
Man, I just can't resist. Screw both sides! Wanna' lay a bet that my very un-modded S2K lays a beating on all of BS and ASP? Just starting another fire...
Rich, he know's he's in the wrong class now but just wants to finish it out for the points. None of the other ASP drivers that are in contention care. Just assume he'll run SM2 or FP next season and let it slide. I think Alex is good enough that the gearing doesn't help. On most courses it's probably a detriment. At best it improves his launch but few starts at GCAC are straight anyhow.
Alex, if it becomes a big deal you're welcome to run my car in Nov./Dec. on your tires in ASP (or wherever), as long as I don't have a co-driver providing tires and running in the same heat. And Hoosiers are not "light years" ahead of Victo's. For every 60 seconds they're probably +0.6 to +1.0 and that'd depend on the severity of transitions.
And I like Josh's take on calling out the cheaters. I never said anything to the 911T driver until I beat him for the first time (early this season). He said, verbatum, "You're faster now anyways, so who cares?" Well, he robbed me of a State Championship trophy last season and a few local ones since...I cared but had the last laugh. When on equal tires he's just a gauge now. He's the only guy to ever beat Ian (outside of big events) and if I can beat him I'm making progress.
This is all for fun. When you start losing sight of that it's delving into the law of diminishing returns. Have fun - drive hard - go home smiling.
