7 grand for seats??? You can buy some on this site for less than 1000. Did they total is out or are the parts being replaced?

Ive been looking into getting a s2000 but I'm thinking of changing my mind after reading threads like these. Does anyone think a suzuka blue s2k w/ blue interior would be less desirable to thieves?

good point I didnt think of that, I thought they were mainly stolen for the seats & ap2 bumpers/lights/wheels. I was hoping that I would be "safe" with a blue interior ap1.

I always tell people who want to buy an S2000 a few things to think about before you get one.

1. Can u afford the full coverage (including theft, damages, etc.)

2. You need to get a high quality alarm installed. The alarm itself can cost $400 and then you got to think about installation.

3. Getting seat locks for the car from the very beginning ( $ 66 )

4. Being able to park the car in a garage at night is very important I
think.

5. Just got to be smart with that car, not leaving it in the middle of nowhere at night and if you go somewhere late at night ..... leave it someplace safe ..... i dont take my car to miami and fort lauderdale when i go clubbing ..... so you just have to think about these things.....

Theft in S. FL is really high, specially with our cars. As soon as I got my car I got the seat locks. I'm glad I live in a great neighborhood, but honestly no one is really safe anywhere. I'm really sorry to hear this is happening to our members, but sadly some of the thiefs may even be on this very website. We need to be alert with stuff poping for sale on Craigslist and such places..I think engraving our seats may help in IDing them later also.
By the way, when I bought my car I added GAP insurance so if anything happens to it, my Ins. would fully cover what I owe to the bank, that's a big relief.

Engraving them sounds like a good idea, I'll be doing that.

I just got an '05 S and it's still in Alabama, don't plan on bringing it down 'til I at least hardtop that thing. Alarm will be installed as soon as I get it. It already pisses me off that every Civic in Dade has S2K seats in it and I don't even have the S2000 here yet...
I'm really worried 'cause I've had multiple motorcycles stolen from my house that's gated and in a good neighborhood with a cop across the street.
I do sleep with my guns next to my bed, but, I was so drunk every time my shit got stolen I didn't realize it 'til the morning on every occasion. BLAH!
