This has gone too far and the original comment by Diana was meant directly at Rene. Read the post Larry referenced and you will see that is the case. Now when it was said did she mean for it to snow ball the way it did? Nope but it did.
The problem we all have is personal issues and it has been dragged onto these boards, dragged into our meets, and resulted in many people not like other people. The most important thing is a division of the group.
Now I love this Anti-Core group but I am a jack ass and I had it all pointed at one person. If I pissed other people off then oh well I tend to do that. However I did decide to stop the whole drama even though in doing that HomoGenics or whatever he goes by had to log into vsDanny's name and tell me "off". Thus proving the level of people we have on this board. Say one thing and do another.
We, as the Broward Group, wish that some Dade people would come up. Except for Warren and WuChan I dont think anyone else has. Hell we drove to West Palm to have a meet with those guys and they have driven down to see us. So it has become a strong Broward/West Palm relationship while driving anyone new away that comes to these boards and causing a huge rift between Dade and Broward.
I had a great time, though short, because I got to see people I hadn't seen in a couple months. I'd love to continue doing that. With that said we need to chill and be a group again.
If not then we just keep doing what we do and go separate ways..

To be absoluetly fair.. the term core is/was coined by myself and alex... we continue to use the term today. again.. it means nothing more tha a larger part of the group. Ifyou really want to be angry at someone.. be angry at me.. and be angry at alex.
with respect to it being directed at rene... its a matter of mathematics.
go place A - 1 person not entirely pleased but will attend.
go place B - 5 people not pleased and some not going for various reasons..
in a 7-10 person event.. 5 people represents a sizable core of the action...
nonethelss... i again thank you for attending wednesdays meet.. and ask that you again come to this wednesdays meet.
i do however.. please ask that you not exit the facility in the same way that you did... yes its funny.. no we don't want the attention in general.
finally morgan.. thank you for responding civily to me.. its bothered me of late that you more or less dismiss me when we've spoken. when i've tried to reach you and understand you...

I don't know what the catalist was that sparked this thread, while I have been an owner and club memeber for a long time, I have not been very active lately.
This constant drama is one of the reasons. I am not judging either party, i am simply offering an observation.
We continue to start threads that convey the idea of putting the drama to an end. We talk about taking an issue up with the persion that can do something about it.
what I am seeing here is more he said/she said. I don't see any resolution, which is a shame. the Drama is one of the reasons I don't come out much.
The others are as follows (this is how things occur to me, not right or wrong, just how I see it)
There are now north meets on mondays, south meets on wednesdays, and North (middle) meets on thursdays. I can't imagine anyone having enough free time or desire to attend 3 meets per week.
There is no longer anything special about them.
The "group" that I have met and become good friend s with aren't interested in all th drama. we used to get toghether and hang out, tell funny stories, eat and talk about our common interest in the S2000.
There was one meeting no clicks, just people hanging out and enjoying themsleves.
Most of the time when we left we left without tearing up the streets for obvious reasons. I like t think we are a responsible adult group that will enjoy the car and keep the aggressive driving on the track, not on the streets.
Personally (again just an option) i think there should be only one meet per week. 1st week of the month one geographic loction, second week a different location, third week one last geographnc location, fourth week no meet.
then people can commit to the meet of there choice and hopefully some peeps from other geographic locations would attend... like I said jsut a thought.

I do hope this gets worked out and th group can go back to focusing on fun, and enjoying eachothers company

The "Core" group messed this up for everyone Mitch. Then the new people came along and added fuel to the fire.
The issues that lead to the current situation started before I came then I joined that list. I have had the discussion with that particular person and that person defended themself to the point that, that person didn't see anything wrong with finding more than friends in a group of friends.
Love or the aspect of Love can destroy friends. Men go to war over these things and always will. I finally took to heart a few weeks ago what MidnightS had told me a couple months ago.
When people bring the drama to meets and make a scene and try to start a fight that is when the happiness died for me.
I have said this before and it still continues to this morning. Twice someone from this board has called my g/f (just today) to tell her I am cheating on her and to check s2ki to see what I am doing. Apparently I pissed someone off enough that they continue to do this when the original letter and phone call was in october.
This just goes to show the shallowness of people who frequent this website. That person obviously knows Diana as they supplied her number.
The S. Florida forum needs the drama that is why I won't end. You have dario starting the drama thread between alex and max back when they were fighting. Where were you guys trying to squash it then? When max threatened to lay alex on the law we didn't see a group coming together to end it. It isn't until someone who feels offended that we see the old timers come together.
It is sad but the truth.

Since I haven't taken part in regular activities for quite some time, I don't know about the issue between alex and max.
My feeling on the drama of this board haven't never waivered, although I am guilty in getting caught up in some myself. I choose to no longer partake in the drama, and if I get caught up in it for some reason, please point it out to me so I can regroup....no body is perfect
I think it's very immature and high schoolish for someone to call your girlfriend.
that immature attitude has taken over this particular forum. that is sad. I'm sure I will catch a ration of $hit for what I am about to say. However, this is what I have seen in the past few years..again this is my opinion.
Warren is a trooper, he sticks with this forum as a mod, stays committed to the fun and overall peace of the group. His level of commitment and patience deserves a medal of honor.
When Warren, Di, Mav Hunter, bullet, Cindy, Keith and myself (please don't be offended if I didn't mention you as part of the original group) ....etc bought our cars they were new, people buying the car then were older and more mature... Now leases are coming to an end and this fantastic car we drive is much more available (cost wise) to a bigger crowd.
This leads us to where I see it today, many younger people are buying the car and share some of us "older folks" love of the car. Unfortunately, some are still in a place where high school type drama, clicks, fights, and trying to be cool... is still is a big deal for them.
I'm not judging, condemning or otherwise, I just choose not to be a part of it on a weekly meeting basis. been there done that....over it
Since my let's end the drama thread a few weeks ago I have remained committed to share my thoughts on what was once one of the most fun groups of people I have ever encountered. As I said in another thread, I now have life long friends. people that will be part of my life whether we own an s2000 or not for many years to come. For that I am greatfull to honda for creating this "niche" car that appealed to a very cool group of people.
All I ask, as it seems you and Warren are asking, is that we get back to having fun.
lets all go grow up and move on.......

Now before you bring up the "we had meets in broward and no one ever came" please spare me because I have heard the complaints about Mitch wanting meets in Broward and no one in Broward every attending.
However some stupid 15 year old kid who later goes on to wreck his S2000 wants a Kendall meet because he can't drive to Doral and boom he gets one. This pissed off a lot of people. So now we have two meets in Dade. Wed was Doral and Thursday was Kendall. So for all the people who were too lazy to drive to Doral can now go to the old Sound Advice building in Kendall. Yippie I now save 12 miles because I dont have to drive to Doral.
So Rene wanted to start a meet in Broward and picked Thursday. I'm sure it was to spite someone. So we did Quarterdecks in Sawgrass which Di picked. Everyone complained so we moved it to Towers were it resides to this day.
If you are new Broward is the meet to go. There is no Broward Core because we welcome everyone. Rob, Zak, JDMFool, FTW.Inc, Alex, Rene, Chris, Myself, Larry, Gabe, Tiffany (since she owns the car), FTW.Inc friend with the Civic, His friend in the S, D!! rolling on them Rotas, Andres, Law, peeps from WPB. That is the CoRE. We all stick together. We all have fun and we all welcome new people in like they have been here for awhile.
This CORE thing is a joke to us and always have been. We always make CORE jokes. Hell I made one to Chris tonight because it was funny.
When I say I dont like CORE I didnt say I didn't like Woody, Danny, Santi, Di, Hunter, Mav, Joey, Mitch, Bobby, Peter, Greg, Cindy, Jan, Marcia, Alice, Sam the Butcher, Cousin Oliver, Tiger the Dog, Wally, the Beav, Matlock, Spencer for Hire, etc.

I dont think we need to make personal jabs at each other. I stand by Chris because Larry is a good friend and we all have fun together. I dont think he is wrong for doing that.
