Default Do any cops use X-band anymore?

Anyone with radar detectors, have you noticed if any cops at all use X-band anymore? I have not encountered any at all in our area (or on my trips up to the dragon area) and I'm thinking about disabling that band on my radar detector. To many stores around my home and work have x-band and the thing never stops.

Just curious what anyones findings are. I know our state troopers use KA, most local cops I've noticed are K band (some KA), haven't noticed any X and only seen laser like once or twice.

Just curious what other so-fla users have found.

I've noticed the same thing.

The only thing that uses X-band other than stores (that I've found) are those "speed detector" speed limit signs.

Most that I've found have been K & Ka, sometimes laser.

They shoot a spike strip out to pop your tires, but as long as your not the first car that passes by over the limit that day then you will be okay

I have a Passport 8500, and the only bands I see the Po-Pos using are KA, Laser (especially in Doral), and K.

I think K is the one least used, but I still get it from time to time when cops are nearby

Ya same here, I never see X. Thinking about disabling it on my 8500.

Only X-bands I've come across are stores or just completely random shit.

With cops, I've been tagged with laser, instant-on K & KA, and whatever the hell V-G is.

V-G is the thing they used to check for radar detectors, a radar detector detector. They are not illegal here in Florida though so I'm sure whatever triggered it was not truly one, but a mis-reading or something else on that band.

Anybody know what a capital 'J' means on the V-1?
I just replaced my old one and saw it twice driving through WPB this weekend.
As for X-band, I have not seen a cop using it in FL in years.

my father told me that police used the X band in the past but when the newer technology came out X band got booted and is no loner used by any police forces. he would know he goes to enough court cases for me and my friend for our tickets since he is a lawyer. i turned my X band off but now my K band goes off at random shit.
