Default Fender Roll/Cut vs flared

Hey guys,

Picked up some 18x8 offset 48 225/40/18- 18x9 255/40/18 offset 55 oz superleggera wheels and tires and have been having a few issues. I initially rubbed here and there in the front so i decided to cut the fender tabs which resolved the issues with the rubbing. But this past weekend, I was going inside a parking lot and my wheel hit the fender a bit. It pushed it out like half a inch but i was able to put it back in place. Do I need smaller tires, like 215, in the front to resolve this or would you recommend to flare the fenders? It seems I only now have issues while turning fron a flat surface to a large uneven surfaces.

By the way im dropped 1.5 inches.

Thanks in advance,

Most people would run a 35 series tire with 18's and a 40 series with 17's. I cant speculate what WILL fix your issue but i would recommend running 225/35 and 255/35. Just my .02!

Yea might have to do that. your the second person to tell me. I would have used 35's but these came with the wheels.

Mike is right, I would change the series of the tire.

To be safe, should I just pick up some 215-35-18? I dont want any issues with the fender especially if i go autox.
