Some pics from the day. Me, my dad, and Jose took part in the Ferrari Kart Challenge. The 4 fastest drivers from Friday Saturday and Sunday compete in the final on Sunday....

Here are the pics from the morning session:

My dad's racing shoes....

Don't I look spiffy?

On the track:

After beating Jose and my dad (hah) I was told to stick around because my time was probably within the 4th fastest and they wanted me to compete in the final. I was told to come back at 1pm to check in. In the mean time on to the FERRARIS!

I've always wonder why road cars don't have air jacks/hydraulic lifts?

Ferrari F2005 engine:

Well, it turns out I was 3rd fastest for the day so here the pics of the finals. We had a practice session and a timed session with the fastest time won a Ferrari Driving Experience in Mont Tremblant Canada this summer. It's a $10,200 Ferrari weekend where you're taught to drive the F430 on the track (neat eh?)

Me thinking that karting more than one other time in my life may have benefitted me now:

Parade lap:

Timed session:

I ended up 4th fastest out of all of the fastest drivers from the whole weekend. The time difference was about 3 tenths of a second from 4th to first. My booby prize was a Ferrari yearbook from the 2005 season which I found out later is worth $100 (sweet).

It was alot of fun and two free track sessions wasn't too bad of a deal, wish I could have kept all the gear

Because it isn't a self sufficient system, you'd have a to carry around a pretty big air tank to feed those pistons. Funny thing is that they only have 2, one at front center and one at rear center which makes for some funny reactions from people watching. The car seesaws on them as they are extending and looks like it's going to fall over.
