I ended up 4th fastest out of all of the fastest drivers from the whole weekend. The time difference was about 3 tenths of a second from 4th to first.

The Ferrari Quebec 430 Challenge team was practicing at Homestead during the Chin track day a few weekends ago. They were just a little faster than the Miata

I wound up lapping one of the other 360 Challenge cars ... after it went into the wall after turn 7!

After talking with a mechanic from that team, it seems that the F430 Challenge is a HUGE step up. Aside from more power, it uses the carbon ceramic brakes (rotors are almost double the surface area) and the new E-Differential which sorts out your heavy right foot on corner exits.
Cool stuff.
My brothers friend was racing his F430 at the Challenge and his crew told me those carbon brakes cost $10k to replace front both L & R and if theres a chip on one side you have to change the other also.
