You're not terribly far from where I lived for two years. I was on Yakushima, between Okinawa and Kagoshima, but much closer to Kagoshima.

Anyway, enjoy your visit, and stay away from the Snack Bars! ;-)

 

Josh, go to a junk yard or used parts store and buy as many sets of JDM wheels as you can afford, ship 'em home, and then make a killing once you're back. I'm in for a set.

 

I'm Back. Well sort of ... 30 minutes sleep in the past 38 hours makes me kind of giddy ... and silly if you could imagine that! I'm in Baltimore today - tomorrow Davie.

The trip was excellent and I did get some interesting photos - I'll be sharing them here and expect some surprises .

The diving was excellent, very clear, warm water - at least until the typhoon past by (far offshore, but the swell caused some difficult diving conditions).

I struck out on the car parts though - I had grand plans, but my itinerary and poor (= non-existent) Japanese language skills really hampered me.

I only saw 3 S2000s the entire trip, 2 in Okinawa and 1 in Kyoto.

Look for some new threads over the next few days ...
