Default Headlight Clearing

Can any of you that have cleared your headlights either post the pictures or email them to me. I am curious as to what bonds the 2 clamshells together as well as how hot you need to get the assemblies before the seal becomes pliable. I would also like to see a close up of the finished seams.

Thanks
Armando

Armando.

Back at 220 for 10-15 minutes, serve warm. Sometimes after the first back, you ahve to put it in again for a few more minutes. The bondaing agent is a blackflexible substance. It's not silicone. Some did an instructions thread. Infact

Here is the full installation instructions

BTW, then they are back together, and cooled down. We put a thin bead of clear silicone around the entire seam

Thanks for the link . I guess 225 degrees is not hot enought o do any damage to the plastic. The bonding agent used on the NSX is grey in color, is it the same as on the s2000?

Post when and I may be able to come down and help out...you know passing tools back and forth, holding a beer here and there, getting in the way, etc.

Have a damaged headlight you can practice on pulling it apart that I got from Coraldoc - I just want the damaged outer clear cover for an experiment in sanding and clearcoating out the scratches and minor pits rather than the polish route before I try it on mine.

Let me know by PM
