Thumbs down THE HUNTER GOT SCAMMED

WELL KIDS, AFTER SEVERAL EMAILS WITH TURBO1RACER, GETTING PICTURES OF THE RIMS, SEEING THE SCRATCHES NEGOTIATING A PRICE, THAN SENDING HIM HIS $1600 THRU PAYPAL, THE ASSHOLE SCAMMED ME AND SENT ME CHILDRENS BOOK!

TO MAKE THINGS WORSE, WHEN I FILED A GRIVENCE WITH PAYPAL, THEY SAID THAT BEING I HAVE A GRIEVENCE WITH WHAT I RECIEVED (A CHILDS BOOK) THAT THEY WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT! ITS A PLAY ON SEMANTICS! IF I WROTE THAT "I DID NOT RECIEVE MY RIMS" THEY WOULD DO SOMETHNG ABOUT IT!

SO THEY SAID ITS A GRIEVENCE ON WHAT I RECIEVED AND THAT THEY WONT DO ANYTHING. EVEN THOUGH THE PAYMENT NOTES SAID ANTERA RIMS!

PAYPAL SUCKS!

Hunter, I read the post you did in the NYC-Metro forum and can't even imagine the frustration you're feeling. Hopefully this will get solved & the NYC guys will be able to help you out.

Have you notified the site admins (C-Three and HondaGal) about this? Since it's involving an s2ki member, perhaps they could help you out.

Who's up for a little class trip?!

Jeff, you know I'm sorry to hear this.

You should never have told Paypal about the book. Regardless, the grievance is over the rims you paid $1600 for, not the book. Paypal is not stupid enough to believe you would pay $1600 for a book. I say re-file the claim.

I didn't read the other thread. Perhaps you can link it. NYC area TITS should get involved on this one.

Jeff,

If this is the same guy I'm thinking of (I believe it was turbo1racer), he originally attempted to scam me, too.

A month or so ago when I was looking for a new TPS or TB assembly, I searched the forums and came across a thread of his parting out an entire engine. I asked if he had the TB, he said price would be $250. I waited a couple of weeks in the hopes I could resolve my engine problems, but when that didn't pan out, I approached him again and asked if I could purchase it.

The guy said I must have him confused with someone else, that he doesn't have an engine for sale, never did (even though my PMs and the threads proved otherwise). I figured it wasn't worth the argument if he didn't have it or didn't want to sell it, so I quickly moved on.

There's something definitely off about this guy!

********Message posted in the NYC forum by me***********

This a very unfortunate situation. This forum is based on enthusiasm and respect for the S2000. As members or guests we need to portray honesty and trust. Unfortunately, there are individuals out there that mean to deceive and take advantage of other individuals. If there is anyone in the Northeast that knows something about this individual, I would trust that you will assist another owner and try to find a resolution to this problem. Hunter is a very active member of the South Florida family and to have something like this happen to him, it happens to all of us. I assure you if the situation was reversed we would jump immediately to your aid.

If you can shed any light on this issue, your assistance would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Hunter,

Damn I'm sorry to hear this has happened to yet another honest member of the boards. I read the post in the NY forum, those guys seem interested in helping resolve this one. or may they just want to kick some ass. Either way I hope it works out soon
