Default Intake Shopping

What intake do you guys recommend? I am looking to spend no more than $600 on an intake? Do I really have any options? Whats the best way to go short ram/CAI? I heard about the new AEM V2 is it any good? Let me know any input you guys might have.

Be very careful Mi amigo. This is a very heated subject matter with the group. May I recommend that you check past threads. There have been many discussion here.

The three that the group has are the AEM V2, AEM V1, PRM, and the Comptech Icebox.

Good luck with this one! (Guys go easy on him he is new!)

Thanks for the heads up on the matter, I figured it was a touchy subject but I had to ask since I will be purchasing one soon. I like the PRM one a lot but the comptech one is very nice and makes the engine bay look sweet but I hear the noise is similar to stock on that one......we'll see what I decide....

PRM SUCKS only the slowest cars in the group have a PRM...some menbers of this board think the PRM is magic and can pull cold air from an opening in the fender without pulling any of the hot air in the engine bay..I even heard one guy say he can pull a rabit out of his PRM....

This ones for you matt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, that drops the PRM. So, you should go with the Comptech or the AEM or INJEN....

I like the Comptech alot but I also want some sound, what do the peeps with this one think? How is the sound on it? If not my best choice is the AEM V2.

Can we please stick to intelligent dialogue here. Those of you with personal vendetas against the different intake manufacturers, have made your statements by not buying their particular intake. Remember if we cut a PRM owner do they not bleed, if we hit an AEM owner do they not bruise, and if we curse a Comtech buyer do they not hurt. Let us respect each other!!

If you have $600 the best you are gonna get is an ARC, and if you want something for a little less get the Comptech . Just my opinion .
