To Jsmply: for sure don't get it detailed right after. You definitely have to wait. As to how long, it depends on the paint being used. The people that do the paint-job for you should let you know exactly how long before it's safe to wash, and there is usually a longer time before you can wax or do anything more than a simple wash. (Which means drive slower so you don't get as much road-tar on it while the paint cures. The chemicals used to remove road tar will weaken the paint - could lead to discoloration.)

To GranPrix: from pics it's hard to determine to what extent the damage is. It looks like you either have paint transfer or it's scratched through to the panel. If it's paint transfer there is a chance it could be buffed out with some compound, then re-waxed. If it's scratched deep, you'd have to have it repainted. Looking at the edge I think I see some denting too. It's hard to tell from the pics, but if there is denting - and it's on the edge of the panel - it will never look perfect no matter what you do. So best case, it's buffed / waxed and PDR is done to remove the dents, worst case you need a new panel or at least a new paint job on that one with PDR.

That could all be wrong tho, I'm basing it on what I see in the picks and it might not be anywhere near as bad if I see it up close. So don't panic

Just finished OGPackin's S2k. Here are a few pics. Some came out too dark, I gotta change my angle next time. Feel free to ask him about his impression / opinion of our service.

Exterior shot - end result
(Pic came out a little too dark b/c of the sun and shade combo)

Ricerish? Not really sure how that applies here . . . does lack of car washing talent and rice go hand in hand?

s2000craze, let me know when you want to bring in either car so I can make room in the line-up ahead of time.

As soon as I can get a way from work, I'll be giving you a call. My car is begging for some TLC.
