Miami - Dade
I got a ticket from passing a red light, but doesn't say how much it is and how many points it is. Anyone know under what category it falls? On the ticket is says violation of traffic control device. On the site http://www.miami-dadeclerk.com/dadecoc/faq...fficfaqs.asp#Q2 I see
11. Failure to Stop at Traffic Signal - F.S. 316.074(1) or 316.075(1
11. Failure to Stop at Traffic Signal - F.S. 316.074(1) or 316.075(1
I have no idea what the difference is, was a white sportrack with blue stripes or so. Just saw on my ticket it is a 316.075 1 c 1, so I get 4 points, DAMNIT! well I think i'll try and give the case to an attorney. Anyone have some good suggestions on good ones? Is it easy to win a case like that? I know I got no points from a 35miles over speed limit ticket my first year here in the US.

Hmmm on 36th next to the airport going west, was 2 lights before the bridge you go over the train rails. Light just turned red .5sec after I passed the line.
There's two things you can do. Pay the Ticket Clinic or do the SAME EXACT THING the Ticket clinic will do for you, Go Yourself and save yourself the $75. It's a FU.CKING SCAM by these ticket attorneys.
All they do is go to the PRE-TRIAL CONFERENCE and they plea "no contest". Which means you NEVER have the chance to fight the ticket because the officers NEVER GO TO A PRE-TRIAL CONFERENCE. The State of Florida/Miami-Dade county found a loop hole where they can make more $$$ with this Pre-Trial Conference BS!
When you go to this Pre-Trial Conference, the judge asks what your plea is. It's either going to be:
you choose:
Guilty
Not Guilty or
No Contest Nolo Contonder (i think thats how you spell it)
This Pre-Trial Conference does not give you the chance of winning the case by the officer not showing up and getting dismissed.
If you plea Not Guilty, then you will be given a "Court Date" which is where the officers have to show up. If you're lucky, the cop will not show and the ticket is thrown out, you win. If the cop does show up, then you plea no-contest. But this way you have a 50/50 chance of winning.
Call an attorney and double check with them if you can change your plea after the Pre-trial conference.
