Moving to MIAMI...
Hey Guys,
I am from Hawaii and will be moving to Miami to go to Ross University. I haven't been to florida since I was little so I have no idea where anything is. Im looking for a place close to Ross University/Larkin Hospital and was wondering if you have any suggestions. I have been looking on craigslist for a place to stay in Coral Gables or Coconut Grove but the areas seem pretty pricey. I would like to stay in a safe neighborhood that is close to school. Any suggestions or info is appreciated.

Check www.keyes.com or yes, Craigslist is decent too.
If you're looking for a 2 bedroom, expect $1500+ in the Gables or the Grove. However, if you're down by Larkin you could easily get away with living in South Miami, Sunset or even Kendall.
South Miami *does* have some shady spots... as does Kendall. But it will be a bit cheaper then either of the CGs.
Remember though, Coral Gables was rated the #10 best place to live in America. =)

Thanks for the advice about kendall. The Valencia is actually the exact building I want to stay in. The only problem is finding a place in there for the time I will be im Miami... and its a short term lease which makes it more difficult. I have been looking on craigslist and a few other sites. I dont really want to pay more than 1500. I would like that 1500 to include some amenities. I know the valencia has a fitness center and washer/dryer in unit which is a plus. Does ur friend know if there is a property manager that I can get in touch with at the Valencia?

Haha... I wish I could... I hear miami has some hot girls too... A couple of my friends are coming up to party for thanksgiving weekend.... should be pretty fun? The clubs are pretty crazy?
