I actually used to live in Valencia for about a year.

Very shady neighborhood borders it - but I never had any issues, nor heard of anything bad going down.

Would I move back? Sure, for the right price.

As for property manager - don't waste your time. Most units are owned by individuals, which in turn lease them out. MUCH better price that way.

Welcome to miami,

I was born and raised in Hawaii, lived there for about 15 years and moved to south FL. You'll definitely see that the atmosphere is very similar to Hawaii, except there's no friendly people compared to Hawaii, it's extremely humid, and your replacing the asian (*cough*filipino*cough*) population with spanish people. Will probably take some time to get used to this atmosphere, but you'll like it.

What part of Hawaii you from? You probably speak pidgeon or something haha. I still got some accent chee huuuu. Braddah cuz I gotta ack laddat, 2 sccop rice mac salad. I'll probably be going back again next summer to visit some friends.

BTW, I just got my s2k so I'm not too familiar with the meets and stuff!
