Default my baby was violated

lets start in 1980, mom and pop buy me a new skateboard, my first four wheels. How long did they last? two weeks. someone thought they should have it and stole it from my garage. I could do nothing but (never got a replacement from mom and pop... 1993 broke my piggy bank for my first brand new real wheels- an isuzu pick up... put bigger wheels and tires new system, cd changer... the works... gave up a lot to pay for it.... broken into? - 12 months later - so got my self a normal replacement- -1997 didn't want to drive over everything in town, so I thought I'd get something to go fast from town to town - Got me some 174 horses in a new GSR, , I was Fitipaldi obviously.....(still around then)... lasted? 19 months. (alarm -worthless, antitheft radio- yeah right) someone thought they'd re do the movie face off with my car, exept I got the face back with no wheels, no trani, no radio, no 1.8- 174 horses --- me? --- ever since so whats a guy to do... can't beat them ... join them .... (No, not at stealing) -thought I'd just be a ricer with a nice lit civic - (only I knew what was under the hood) so in 1999 whent to get a nice red one....except....what do I see on the wall.... my next hondas second roadster - price tag - "very reasonable" but not for my pocket -- me? return to and plan A....(the civic) 3 yrs later, and many speeding tickets later trying to get the same feeling of my GSR, .. I thought time for my S ...car theft is down... right? no poblem .... any who.... I was now Juan Montoya..... 1 month later.... ....antenna is gone...me - --oh well I've had worst... two months later .....2nd antenna ...gone Im not having fun at this game.....its Dejavou vou (with an echo).....then 4 months later..... (this morning).... I wake up ...almost exited as everyday to my baby..... what do I see fingerprints on the windows the top cut the seats gone... .and the shift knob... and changer. .. .... what am I to do.......can't take it anymore why me? cops don't do anything I DONT WANT TO GET RID OF THE CAR , its perfect, but lets face it HONDA needs to care about us a little more, no other car would make me happier ( unless I spent over $100,000) but BENZ has done pretty good with the antitheft....why can't honda?

I don't know what to do......................

I don't see how people can own a ragtop and not have a garage. I'm too paranoid I guess. If I didn't have a house with a garage, I would have never bought the S2K. There's nothing you can do to stop someone from cutting through the top. It's an open invitation. That's just the world we live in. Did you have a motion detector alarm? That's about the best you can do without the garage.

Sorry to hear your troubles, people out there suck!

Not everyone can afford a big house with a garage...

sendth, sorry to hear about your problems... There are so many focking haters out there. There's not much Honda can really do. The S2000 already has an immobilizer, the stock "alarm" is pretty much useless but there again all stock alarms suck. I suggest investing in a good alarm system, like Clifford, or one with two way paging, like AutoPage (what I have), with motion sensors. I also suggest buying seat locks. Another s2ki.com member is hosting a group right now, here's the thread... https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=120391 Be careful where you park, park in well lit areas, etc. The most you can do is deter people, no matter what you try to do, when there's a will there will be a way. I know, my 02 E46 M3 was stolen at my job during the day and that was supposed to be one car that was impossible to steal. They towed it. Good luck!

i agree. not all of us have garages

I also have the 2-way pager alaram for some peace of mind but i know it wont stop an asshole from keying it or throwing rocks at it. The first night I had the car, some dick threw lunch meat all over the car (yes, LUNCH MEAT! Who the hell does that??)

People are animals.

By the way, Im very sorry for the poster of the thread but Lord can you NOT fill every other word with a picture? I couldnt even read your post.

I'm not saying everyone can afford a house with a garage (you don't have to have a "big" house to have a garage). I'm saying if I didn't have a garage, I wouldn't consider getting a convertible. That's just me. Just for peace of mind, I like to know that my car is safe. I really don't know how you guys do it without a garage. That's not a put down or negative statement for those without garages. I just honestly don't know how you do it! It would drive me crazy! I'd have to have a great alarm, The Club, and a locking car cover if I didn't have a secure place to park my car at night. Maybe I worry too much.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound elite or anything if it came off that way in my first post. It comes down to a state of mind. Some are more comfortable parking outside than others. That's all that was meant.

Not everyone can afford an S2000. Not our problem. Protecting our hard earned money, is our problem.
If ya can't afford A BIG HOUSE, move into an apartment complex that has garages. I did. $100 a month. The only thing in the garage was the S and the tools for the S.
But, now I got the big house with a two car garage, that makes me "not everyone"

sendth, I feel for you . I hope everything works out for you

Let me share with you my story. I live across the street from a highschool so the damn kids are always staring at the S. Not a good thing. (insert has no garage at home) so i went on a business trip to Mexico. I come back to find my antenna was missing and my front grill had been taken off. Not stolen cause i had JB welded the screws on the grill but one screw was missing. I was soo pissed. So i went online and ordered a 10x motion detector video camera system with flood lights. Its pretty cool the vcr automatically starts recording when the motion sensor is tripped. It was only 150.00 bucks. So after everything was set up and running i decided to hold a stake out during the week i was on vacation and stay up late and monitor the camera to see if anything was caught on tape. Well guess what the wednesday following my installation of the camera at about 3 am i was watching satellite and i notice the vcr go to recorde mode. at first i thought it was a cat or something that tripped the motion snesor so i switch the tv to monitor the camera and what do i see a bmw parked outside and some kid walking in my yard. i did not even bother calling the cops i snuck outside and waited till the kid got by my car. i snuck up behind him pushed him down and kicked the shit of out him. needless to say his friend in the bmw took off. my parents heard the rucus and came outside to find me and the kid going at it. i felt kind of bad cause this kid was like 17 and was like 125llbs soaking wet with boots on and i was pummeling him. so my parents call the cops while im holding the kid by his shirt and he is all bloodied and messed up. when the cops arrived we told them the story, i gave them the tape as evidence and the descirption of the blue BMW. the took the kid away, i have to go to court and press charges but none where filed against me because i was protecting my property the cops said. they found the bmw like 2 hours later cause the kids go to the school, and being suspect of having stolen goods in their car they searched it and found some radios and guess what an s2000 antenna. now i am not condoning violence or vigilante justice. but it did feel great to beat the shit out of that kid. will he do it again probably not. moral of the story you may want to invest in a video camera. it may be worth it.

When I had my 01 Spa Yellow, it was always parked outside, no garage. Now I have my 02 GP White, I'm fortunate enough to have a garage at home. However this won't stop any haters or thieves to mess with my car when I'm at the mall, at the movies, out eating dinner, etc. I can't run around paranoid 24/7, shit happens.

And Angel... Great story! LMAO!
