I took my car to Braman today and they said they don't do upholstery anymore so they sent me to Brickell and they want to patch it. Do you guys think I should try my luck at Rick Case in getting my top replaced or should I just accept the patch at Brickell?

 

i took my car to Maroone Honda no problems their...... dont let them patch make them give the new top its ur right under warranty.....

 

No, go back to Brahman and ask for Alex the Service Manager. They send the car out to get reupholstered.

 

 

thats a bs line...... they simply order a new top and it bolts in its not like they a sweat shop of workers to restitch a new top from stratch......

 

no man, not like a whole new top from scratch. they send it to get reupholstered in the sense that they send it to a shop who specializes in soft top installations.

 

thats what the guy told me but he said the place they would send it to went out of business and they don't work with them anymore. so they have no where to send it to i guess. but no worries I told the service manager at Brickell I wasn't interested in a patch and he spoke to the honda rep and they approved my request. Just waiting now for it to get to the dealer, they said it should take a week. thanks everybody for all the help

 

I've got the same 1/2" rip on both sides right by the latch

One of the stupid bars in the top didnt retract right and I didn't notice it until I heard the rip

I fixed the way it retracts and always check now, but haven't done anything about the tear yet

 

u have an 05 so im guessing ur still under warranty. seems like the dealers arent much assholes when it comes to replacing it. they probably recognize that its a common problem so i say new top time. im still waiting for brickell to get the top in...
