Richie helped us move stuff from the truck to upstairs... he happened upon "the drawer"

Besides, I didn't flash the gun in the guys face... I had it suffed down the back of my pants, so he must have seen it as I turned around to take it off and leave it inside. From what I understand, he told the police something a bit more dramatic, like I reached for it and threatened him, but the only thing I threatened to do was to help escort him off of the property when the police showed up.

I guess he was so pissed we were ruining his business he wanted ot get back at us. It bit him in the ass, though, as they escorted him back to 441 where he was to be picked up... he definitely wasn't going to make any more sales THAT night Let him explain his lack of sales to his boss

You should have got him mad, and made him charge into your house so you could blow him away.

Honestly I wouldn't be taking the police situation as well as you. That's way overkill for a 'reported' gun. Plus if it wasn't on your person when they arrived, they had no right to cuff you as far as I can tell.

One of the officers seemed a little less enthused about the whole thing than the others... it always seemed like he wanted to lecture me on gun safety and such. OK, I haven't gotten my permit for Florida yet, and according to him you can only get information about the permit by taking a class ( whatever), but I knew I had done everything to the letter of the law. "What if you had stepped across the threshold, or shot him while he was outside the door... you would have been in big trouble!" Duh, that's why I didn't DO those things. If it wasn't for the situation I was in, I would have been my usual smartass self

Next time just slam the door in the solitictor's face and be done with it.

Showing off a gun is never a good idea unless you intend to really use it.

Read what I wrote again, guys. I quickly threw it in the back of my pants when some moron was getting in Merri's face at the door and refused to leave after her asking several times. The only time I can imagine him seeing it was when I turned around... but the entire time I had the gun on me I was inside the house. the only time I would have pulled it is if I intended to use it... duh.
