Here's a car I got to work on for about 3 years. This belonged to a friend of my brothers. Roll cage done by Orbit Racing I believe. The car had full custom race software for his setup , the only internals changed were the cams. Custom coilovers from Ground Control (the owner is a friend of my bro and teh car;s owner). The rear wing is off the Ferrari 360 challenge. The whole front bumper structure is custom, to eliminate the crazy oem crash structure. The front lip is a direct copy of the m3 gtr. Full plexan windows, went from racing AP racing brakes to crazier monobloc Alcon's. The rims are his own (RAC Monolites) designed in conjunction with Champion Porsche/Audi.

I'll post more pics when i find them.

Champions application for their variation of the rim:

and at the 12 hours of sebrings they did even finish the last time they ran. the m3s last victory was in 2001 in alms. other than that.
Guess you closed your eyes for a few years. Cause BMW had plenty of wins after 2001, including the 2003 constructors championship w/ the M3 in the Speed World Challenge.

Not a fan of neither Piquet. My dad met father a few time back in the 70's and the guys a dick. And i met Jr. in 04' nice guy w/ me. But I've heard he's a dick too!

Yea love the Mclaren F1, M1 too and of course the e30 m3; friend of my dad has a race one in Colombia, not sure if it use to be one of the Schnitzer M3's or a copy. Either way its sick and they keep racing it.

lmao. After the 2001 season when ALMS changed their rules, BMW said FU to alms, and went to the POS Speed World Challenge for a year and then to Grandam for 2, grandam then changed their rules and bmw said FU to them too and went back to ALMS. The car you saw in downtown Miami had to have been Alegra Motorsports M3 (yellow with Gatorade sponsorship)... I know cause i was there and saw it personally in their tent. It was BMW's original e46 m3 gtr... the 2000 chasis w/ the original aero-work. Alegra didn't even run an s54 engine when they ran the car in 03 or w/e, they used an s52 engine (e36 m3) because with their small budget they could get more power out of that... they couldn't afford factory engines ($$$). And the owner Carlos de Quesada does it as a hobby and isn't a 'pro'... his dad was one of the inventors of Gatorade, that how he has the sponsorship, and still has it on his Porsche GT3 he runs in Grandam.

In 2006 PTG went back to ALMS w/ the M3, but it was pretty much just to race, cause BMW had already stopped all development on that car to focus on the e92. So im sure they got horred by the new 997 911 GT3's. I do believe they got 1 win in the 2006 season. Can't remember how they did in the 12 hrs. of sebring, but its 12 hrs. long, even the best team break down. The all mighty RS Spyders broke down last year in their second year of competiton. And Acura beat them in their first race ever.
Excuses. wow are you full of them.

No it's facts, i guess u just have a hard time understanding.

what about the 2004 & 2005 back to back 1-2 finishes at the Nurburgring 24 hours in the M3 GTR's (v8)? Would have been 3 years in a row but in 2003 they experimented with dry ice around the air box and it actually cracked an oil line in the warm up lap before the race started, so they lost a few hours in repairs... lost thr race right there.

Here are pics I took in 2004 and 2005 at the Grandam Grand Prix here in Miami.
After 2004 when PTG destroyed everyone in the M3's (winning the championship) Porsche cried to grandam and they changed the rules making the cars even more street related, the biggest blow was the aerodynamics.

Look at the differences between the body and chassis... the strut tower
2004 chassis:

2005 chassis:

at the end of 2005 BMW told Grandam to **** themselves and went back to ALMS.
