I saw everywhere 80G PS3 is selling $499.99 now

 

Where? Last I saw was $599

 

It is going down to $499 and the 40GB will be introduced at $399. The best console still the 60gb. Full backwards compatible. The 40GB will not be and will lose the card reader and 2 of the 4 USB on the front.

I need a Blue Ray player...will this do?? I figure I would get this for my kids to play their video games but yet be able to enjoy Blue Ray DVDs on it too. Any suggestions?

A PS3 is the answer. Best bang for your buck. Im loving it. ALthought it doesn't have games yet the system is super reliable and elegant.

I use it mostly for the Blu-Ray also. 300 is a must.

 

Gracia Diablo...I am off today and hope to visit Sound Components and Sound Advice to look at the players. The PS3 appears to satisfy both needs. Pero, the consensus at Bestbuy is that the Blue Ray in the PS3 is sub par..
