Wow, that's a lot of fabrication.

It's a lot easier to put the S2000 drive train in a Miata.

Well think about it - pulling up to a miata in an S2k and it being a tie race or a lighter miata could possibly win.... Wouldn't that just chap your hide a little?

And the guy that did this conversion probably already had the spitfire.

I can't imagine, Alex .

The Miata independent A-arm suspension (much like the suspension in an S2000) is a lot more sophisticated than the old solid axle swing arm system in a Spitfire.

Tx Phantom - The Miata with a transplanted F20C would definitely win over an S2000 - both in a straight line and on the track. Imagine a 2200 pound S2000 to give you an idea of the performance potential of an F20C motor swap into a Miata. The F20C is both lighter and more powerful than the Miata powerplant. The Miata chassis is lighter than the S2000, and it has very neutral handling characterisitcs. I think it would be a lot of fun.

nice!...obviouslly the miata would be much more advanced, and put together, but the spitfires got it on at least 300 pounds, and its got it beat on the wierdness scale
