The car is beeing sold by Copart so that means that the his insurance co. total the car and paid it off and now is beeing sold at the auction by them.

No need for the cops to be involved they already did their job.

I found it it's a Copart Car Auction ready to be sold as salvage in jan. 13th

O.Z. Ultraleggera 18" x 8 in the front and x 9 in the rear with yokohama tires. Origianl silver. They are the newr version Ultralaggera

Them's don't look like OZ's. And whoever put the fronts one, the tires are backwards.

if that was his OWN insurance co. tho. how do we know the guy didnt just sell it to copart? or claim under his own insurance somehow... that might be a stretch, but how else does the car SUDDENLY appear at an auction without the owner's knowledge?

I'm pretty sure the owner is well aware of it, if they found the car the first person to contact is the owner , then he'll go to see the car and then the insurance will send an adjuster to see the damage after that is the insurance choice or get to an agreement with the owner. But defenetly the owner has to know about his car beeing found.
