This Type "R" if true and if gives turbo performance it may be a nice reason to trade any of our stock S's ... but the news about the "new" S2000 that is going to be 200hp to 220HP and smaller in dimentions/lighter in weight to compete with the miata i think is BS ... normally a new generation must be a better overall car, not that getting lighter is bad, but a new S2000 successor must be a real Boxter S/MZ4/SLK contenter not a miata-solstice killer no no, that our S2000's already are, these news are BS ... if they do that (and also the new nsx sucessor being a Corvette like non exotic GT car) i don't know what else to expect from Honda .... they'll get new customers i'm sure but they will lose some the most loyal customers.

I believe Honda will never change the S. Honda lovers seem very satisfied with its current version. In my opinion is long overdue!!

Do people have anything better to do than waste time? That looked like it was written by a high school kid pretending to be an automotive journalist.

Get the news at Honda official website.

Im getting mad at all this BS rising everyday about the next S2000 and what not.

obviously this has nothing to do with honda, but everytime i hear of a "new version" of a really good car like the S2000, i keep thinking back to what Mitsubishi did to the Eclipse after 1999, what a tragedy that was, for me atleast. But Honda has yet to fail me, so hopefully this type-R thing is true
