sorry my camera is a POS 3 megapixel, so it dsnt catch colors that well.

 

Looks more like a white balance problem vs. megapixels.
Megapixels mainly determine how clear it will be if you print it off. the higher count, the larger print you can make.

As for your friends car, swap them around and see how that goes before you cut a coil. My fronts took a few days to settle vs. the rear that settled in about 30 minutes...scared the shit out of me when you could sit there and watch it lower itself
