Default Sold the S

After much debating with myself I finally decided to sell my S, I traded it in to carmax for 17K which I thought was a great price for a my00 w/38k miles.

any suggestions on a new car... I want to get/build a muscle car for basically cruising/street/strip..

shoot some ideas.. I've been looking at ls1's but they're so damn ugly (exceptioon of vette) i dont know if i could do it to myself..

For a $25K car, get the 2005 Ford Mustang GT. I'm thinking of getting one next year to use as a daily driver. Cheap, 300HP but live axle so handling sucks.

Beyond that look at the C6 Corvette and Z06. The Z06 offers near supercar like performance but costs $75K with the interior of a Cavalier.

How about the Nissan 350Z?

The C6 interiors are much nicer than a Cavalier... Actually the new Cavalier, the Cobolt has a very nice interior. After god knows how many years, GM is learning to build a decent interior.

And just because a car has a solid rear axle, doesn't mean handling sucks Tommy.

Look at Keith. His rear end is nowhere near solid and his handling sucks

What price point are you looking at?

Well I didn't clarify... the handling sucks when compared to a car equipped with IRS. For what it is I guess its decent.

Yeah I second on the new GT. You have to take me for a ride though I've wanted to try one of those since I first saw it.

all depends on price point. I personally love the new Vette, but $50K + isn't for everybody. The GTO now has the LS2 and some new styling that makes it slightly less bland. I'd probably take that over the Mustang GT. Similar price point but the GTO starts at 400HP, just weight a damn ton (or two). 400HP and 400ft lbs Torque for $32K ain't bad... They're not selling all all that hot, so you can probably get a few K off msrp.

I have read on many magazines that the 6speed that they dropped in the GTO is very very bad......I would look into it first and obviously test drive....whats 400hp good for when your transmission is ass.
