I hadn't heard that, but I don't exactly follow the GTO reviews. Quickag took one for an extended test drive and said he thought it would make a nice daily driver. But if the shifter's that bad I'd pass. I might go test one this weekend. My lease is done in 5wks, but I think I've already decided on my next car.

if it doesn't have to be new and your looking to spend a little more then you have find a nice used 03 cobra... with only around 5-6k into the car you will be close to the 10's no problem. needless to say you will beat just about everything out... oh and it will handle with the best of them as the 03+ cobra's have the cobra R suspension on them

For a $25K car, get the 2005 Ford Mustang GT. I'm thinking of getting one next year to use as a daily driver. Cheap, 300HP but live axle so handling sucks.

Beyond that look at the C6 Corvette and Z06. The Z06 offers near supercar like performance but costs $75K with the interior of a Cavalier.

How about the Nissan 350Z?
ASIAN in a muscle car hahahahahahahahahah!

I probably won't get it, not too practical and functional. I'm probably going to end up getting a sports sedan, maybe an Acura TSX. Something cheap under $30K, very safe, kinda sporty and has a decent back seat for the future kiddies.

Bro/Sis In law have the '04 TSX... not the best for the youngens. While it is awesome to drive but not too comfy, and this is with ONE kid.

We're planning to get an LR3 too. The kids have to ride in style!

Here is a totally different approach, how about a 90-94 miata, build engine, slap turbo kit, make lots of power, this is a true sleeper!!?!
