After reading all the posts, I bought some Densos but haven't installed them yet. If you get them be very careful setting the gaps. I ruined one of the electrodes tring to bend the tip. The electrode is tiny and the tip is enormous. I need to buy some kind of real gapper, and now I need to buy another plug to replace the one I ruined.

OEM NGK plugs.

Here's why I don't like Denso plugs: Failed Plug Post

BTW, Bill - Platinum and irridium plugs should not need to be gapped. It sounds like you found out how delicate the center electrode is!

Man, I searched forever for that kind of info. thanks for posting the link. There is just too many posts about plugs to sort through. That is good info. It seems like Densos are more susceptible to heat issues. Since I'm stock, I'll play safe and go to NGKs. You recommend 7772 or 7173?

As for the Denso gaps, I measured .030 out of the box. I thought .039 was around the right gap?
