I just put one on mine, Neuspeed. Haven't really noticed a difference, although I don't push it real hard. Most say the diff. is not that much if anything at all.

Richie once told me he liked it to lean on when working on the engine.

As far as I know, no. If any makes a difference I bet the Comptech, Cusco, and Spoon would be the most track tested ones.

I have a Spoon strut bar, and can say that the difference is minor, very hard to feel if at all......but one very important thing I might add is that putting on such bars strengthens the rigidty of the overall chassis and suspension.....in return you help keep your suspension tight for a longer period of time than without one, this is of course if you plan to keep the car for a long time, in which case I do.....

The consensus among those that track their cars regularly is that strut bars do not add enough to chassis rigidity to offset their weight ... and they dont weigh much . Chassis X-braces have been reported to do more in terms of reducing chassis vibration over rough surfaces, but again, the difference doesn't seem to translate into faster lap times.

js2k24 - I'm just curious about how any chassis stiffening device will help keep the chassis "tight" for a longer period. Since most of the suspension compliance ("tightness") is in the A-arm bushings, shock mounting points, sway bar mounts and end-link attachment points, how would a stiffer chassis slow down the degradation of those rubber components? If anything, I would think it would decrease bushing life.

I have the Cusco one and no I didn't feel a difference, looks nice though. If you are looking to stiffen up the chassis, I suggest the Cusco front x-brace, Cusco rear tie bar and Cusco chassis brace. I have all three and the difference is amazing.

If anything, it's going to make your suspension fail more quickly. You're forcing more work on the suspension components rather than having the body twist. I'm not saying the bars don't do their job, as they actually make the suspension do what it's supposed to do, but it won't increase the longevity of the components, just the opposite.

..a bit off topic, but has anyone seen or had the el cheapo EBay neuspeed knock off Strut towr bar? If its only gonna be used as a handicapped hold bar while working on the engine it might as well only cost $50 IMO
