It's a spark plug defouler. If you search the forum, you'll find a DIY on how to eliminate the CEL using this method.

 

MOst test pipes come with em already mounted(welded) on, such as Berks

 

I think the Berk TP is the only one that comes with the defouler already mounted on it.

 

How much of a HP increase do you think you would get with a test pipe?

 

Not much if your running it with a stock exhaust, maybe between 3-5 hp. I have my T1R (63mm) sitting in my room. I'm not going to install it until I get an exhaust.

 

well i've yet to see good gains on an exhaust. Not that they suck but I wouldn't pay 600+ for one. Shit 600 is cheap even the j's and those other ones that are expensive not woth buying IMO. Unless i was wealthy enough to just buy it n who cares.
