Default Theft Attempt

The Viper earned its keep today....I was at the town center mall in Boca, when my alarm pager on my keychain started beeping...I headead out to the parking lot to check on the car(figuring it was a false alarm), and noticed my antenna missing ...the thieves must have took of when the proximity sensor went off...a closer look revealed hand prints on the passenger window..it looks from the prints like they were trying to flex the window enough to reach in the car and unlock the door (obviously very smart guys its a ing convertible)...anyway I wish the alarm was in silent mode and didnt scare them away, a few minutes sooner and I may have had a chance to relieve myself of some built up stress and anger!!! WOOOOSSSSAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joe, if they stuck their fingers in the window top to pull it away form the molding, those would be excellent fingerprints. Let the cops take a print...

Remember what the cops told Brian - prints on the outside would be inadmissible in court.

Cops aren't going to take prints outside of a car (unless someone slashes the tires on a Police car) because "anyone" could have passed by and touched the car. Same crap happened to me when they stole my seats... clear as day fingerprints and they didn't do jack!

the cops wouldn't take prints even if i did call them...unless someone was killed or it was grand theft.....besides that the prints were smeared when i put the top down and it automatically rolled down the windows!!!!!!!!

Sorry and glad, at the same time, to hear. Good to hear the alarm earned its keep.

I'm getting to the point where if someone wants my car, take the ng thing already and I'm done with it. While I love living down here, there ARE some things I miss about little Vermont, namely being able to disappear inside a mall for 10 minutes without someone trying to jack yer ride or steal your seats.
One thing to note. Better to have your alarm in silent mode, that way you might have caught 'em to enjoy the beatdown.
