There will be a tech session at Richie's Saturday, December 4th to install my lights in everyone's S who is interested. The lights can be purchased on the spot, but you need to let me know what pieces you want and how many of each so I can make them up ahead of time. Prices will drop from what's listed on the website on each item due to people being local (no shipping), I always cut local S owners price breaks, and large orders (10+ items) will receive an even larger discount.
Although not a requirement to attend the show, I would highly appreciate it if everyone would place a windshield sticker on their car with my logo and web address (I will provide the stickers), in addition to the s2ki sticker Matt will be providing.
All of the products listed on the website will be available for purchase (given prior notice that you want it), and can be seen at http://www.Hi-TecDesigns.com . They include:
1) Footwell Tubes (with fadeout option)
2) Brakelight Tube
3) Sidemarker Lights
4) Maplight replacements
5) Minis (for everywhere else)
I have a limited number of LEDs on hand, so if a large number of people want lights, I'll need to place an order quickly to get them in on time.
On the website, click the 'Pictures' button on the left side. Also, if you show up this week to Sofa King, ask Richie or Joe to show you their under the hood install. The pics on the Home page, and several in the 'Pictures' page are from Richie's car... for the pics, we added two Minis in the front grill (one on either side), and a Mini in each footwell (the Footwell Tubes didn't exist at the time of the pics). The engine bay is lit by by 4 Minis hidden in the hood liner.
I designed these products to be as bright as possible while still retaining an ultra-small profile. These things will fit into places just not possible with other lighting systems, like neon tubes or competitor LED bars. One of those "ultra-bright" neon tubes is brighter than a single Mini, but several Minis can quickly approach and surpass the same brightness.
You will pay more for my products, as well, but this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. The boards are plated in 99.99% pure gold for corrosion resistance, but they're also either coated in silicone or placed inside of a watertight polycarbonate tube (which one depends on the product), so the board itself isn't going to fail you. There's no high-voltage transformer like with neons, so that's one more failure point that you don't have to worry about. All three major colors (red, green, and blue) are in a single package, so you won't have three different colored spotlights on what you're lighting. Very wide viewing angle, so these are perfect for lighting large areas... no spotlight effect.
Here are a couple of pics from the website, that show a few of the millions of possible colors:
I can not make the Tuesday meet and also do not want to wait until the day of HIN to make the choic. If you can call me we can discuss my options and setup the installation tis week.
A couple of question have come up on pricing, so I thought I would give out a package deal for those interested in doing it all at once. This is a one-time deal, and only good for those cars that will be showing at HIN.
This is the package I'm offering, which covers every end of the car except the trunk:
1) 2 Maplight Minis
2) 2 Footwell Tubes
3) 2 tubes in engine bay (facing up from under strut)
4) 4 Minis in engine bay (facing down from hoodliner)
5) 2 Tubes in main grille
6) 2 tubes in side grilles
7) 2 Sidemarker Lights in sideview mirrors
8) 1 Brakelight tube (lighting up license plate)
This includes 17 lights, and if purchased a few at a time would set you back nearly $1,000. I'm going to offer the entire package for $500, which will include all of the wire, accessories (not including switches), and help necessary for installation at the tech session.
If you'd like to make changes to the package (add or remove lights), the price will be adjusted accordingly, but smaller packages will not have the same level of bargain prices.
Guys, you really need to post in this thread if you intend to purchase any of my stuff for the tech session... I will only be making enough to fill requests, so if you don't request it, it's not going to be there for purchase.
So far, the following people are picking up the full package:
1) Richie
2) Joe
The following are picking up smaller packages (if I don't have anything listed, so far you've requested nothing specific, so you need to tell me VERY soon):
1) Alex - 4 Minis (hoodliner), 2 Tubes (engine bay)
2) Armando - ?
