Default Tire Choice

Looking for a set of tires for my rpf1's. I was running F: 225/45/17 and R: 255/40/17.

Looking for a tire that's close or comparable to the OEM RE050's in terms of grip. I never had a problem with the OEM tires in the wet so I would like a tire with similar or better wet weather traction.

I don't get to do much more than spirited driving on my commutes and I won't have time to autocross much for another 6-8 months or so because of other obligations. With that said, I'm on the fence about fast wearing high performance tires like the Dunlop sport star specs but I still want a good tire so I'm not ready to rule them out yet.

So far I've considered:
-Dunlop Sport Z1 Star Specs
-Falken FK 452
-BFG g-Force T/A KDW 2

I had Sumi HTR-Z III's on these rims before and they were ok for daily driving, but i felt the sidewalls were kinda soft so the car rode well but felt sloppy.

Any suggestions?

Dunlops Z1s ... RE11s are slightly better but much more expensive.

Star Specs!! they have insane amounts of grip. almost tempted to auto-x the car just to see how good they really are.
