Well, haven't mounted them yet but will let you know once I do. I am going from the OE Bridgestone Potenza RE050's to Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec.

 

How many miles did you get out of the StarSpecs?

Speedy & I were talking about tires-and he couldn't believe that I've got almost 10k miles on my RE01R's and still have plenty of tread left (compared to your StarSpecs).

Other than your alignment-I don't think our cars are that different. You probably have done 3? more autocrosses than I have, but I have done at least 3 track days, WTD08 (as you did) etc.

 

Those must have EXCELLENT wet traction!

Are those you Direzza's? If so, about how many miles did you get out of them?

Oh and BTW I have read that the OE RE050's have 140 tread wear rating but I have gotten 30,000 miles out of mine and still going! (until Monday)

I went through my RE01Rs just as fast.

I drive pretty darn hard at the Auto -X.

So far I have 9k on my Star Spec. I'd say they wair the same as the RE-01r. I will be replacing them for the same Star Specs. Very happy with them.

 

Do the StarSpecs meet or out perform the OEM RE050s?

Cost? vs OEM....
