Hey i have question. When will i know when my car needs a valve adjustment? Thanks in advance.

 

Honda says not till 105k miles, most do it a lot earlier though. A lot of pepole have found that the valves can (and usually are) slightly out of adjustment from the factory. If your car is a MY2000 and has never had it done, I'm sure it is ready. If you have a trained ear you can notice them get noiser, but there is a lot of other noise under there, injectors, etc . . . unless you know what your listening for it'd be tough to tell. However like I said, if its 7 years old and never had it done, I'm fairly positive it would be a good idea

 

I have about 30k on my car and have adjusted the valves 3 times. Each time there were small adjustments made.

Every so often Coral Doc has a valve adjustment tech day

 

Id like to get mine done. At one of the last meets, Alex (firestrike) and I were talking about this, it seems as though enough people want to do it. It would be a good idea for someone to host a tech day.

I think I probably need it worse than anyone so if there is going to be a tech day I call dibs.

 

I adjust mines every 15K miles.
