Red face Wake the Dragon '05 Registration is now open!

The registration for WTD '05 is ready to go! If you're planning on going, visit this thread for more info. There you will find info on the registration fee, what that includes, where the event will be headquartered, hotel info, etc.

Hope we have a great showing there! I can promise that if you go, you'll agree that there's nothing like doing the Dragon!!!

I'm a little slow in getting my registration in, but will definitely be there. Anyone interested, it will be the best 2k miles you will put on your S.

Our plan of attack so far is to head up on Thursday, April 21; clean the S and drive the dragon Friday, April 22; more dragon and back roads on Saturday, April 23; and finally drive back on Sunday, April 24.

The trip up is approx. 11 hours, but good scenary the whole way, especially when you get out of Florida.

Hopefully, we can get a good group to go up!

Thumbs down

Guess I should've added to my original post that I'm most definitely attending WTD '05 and bringing along a slip-n-slide too!

The fall Dragon run is too early in the season to see any color. If you want to go up and see the fall season, you are better off just going up there on your own trip a few weeks after the DragonBall Run.

Actually, if you want to see the color change, you DO have to go up in the fall. The spring leaves aren't as remarkable as the fall change from green to orange/ red/ brown/ evergreens. I've only seen the beginning of it in NGa/ SoNC in August. Probably the best time is the beginning of October. The weather is cool, dry and the scenery is absolutely unbeatable!

Take a camera and plus-one to take the pictures so you can concentrate on the road.
That's what I said. The DragonBall Run is in the fall, but it's too early in the fall.
