... but because the quality of the wheel is cheap. It has nothing to do whether Volk made them or Rota makes them, cheap quality is cheap quality, why endanger your car??
How interesting that you're relating quality to safety... Do you even know the tubing wall thickness of a Cusco cage vs. a regulation cage? Have you ever seen any tests of how the connection points behave in a rollover?

What is this sudden concern for safety on your part?

i dont know who is actually cheesy enough to use that term "faking the funk", but most of the time people bash on cheap wheels, not because they are not "JDM", but because the quality of the wheel is cheap. i've ran on rotas for years. all of my cars have made in excess of 300+whp and seen plenty of street time... no failures. a lot of my friends have had rotas as well. and no failures. i've yet to even see one person post about a rota or knock off wheel that literally just fell apart on them. i know u said you had your bad experiences but i dunno maybe something else was up. and you have to consider this... there's probably 100x more people out there with rotas than there are with "high quality" wheels... given that, you're more likely to see more failures just because of the bigger sample.

If I drop Alex's Miata upside down on a Max's car, the Miata would tear through his cage like a hot knife through a communist leader!!

Not picking on anyone, Max's car is just an example.

there is no sudden concern, i've had incidents with cheap parts before. I know you believe i buy these parts for name brand purposes, but unfortunately thats not the case. I've had issues with suspension and wheels before, I've had cheap electronics fail on me before, gauges break down and not work.

So i have actually experienced these issues before, no "sudden" concern

obviously your pretty stuck on these cages being crap, so i would really like to know, where would you get one if you were looking for one??
