would the oil pressure gauge be more beneficial than the water temp gauge?
I was under the impression that the oil pressure gauge would only be useful if I had a turbo/sc

Oil pressure will let u know if ur oil is still in same shape, the lower the pressure, the oil has gone sour and need an oil change, so that is why this is good for N/A and turbo cars. Simon these are not toys, on the track u will need these gauges for sure if u want to keep ur car in good shape

Also, if you do any autox/lapping events the oil will heat up, especially while lapping and the viscosity will reduce under extreme stress/heat. A good gauge will notify you of that and you will know to come off the track and let the engine/oil cool down. This is what happend to my friend in his Prelude, he had Amsoil 10w30 in it and later on midday he noticed a drop in oil pressure indicating the oil "thinned out" under stress. Once he cooled off the engine, pressure was fine for more lapping.
What I'm trying to say is that a good, accurate oil pressure/temp and maybe coolant temp gauges will usually give you more detailed and accurate feedback on what is going on with the engine over the stock "idiot" lights.
Unless the S has accurate, "real time" gauges... does it?
