The salesperson, whom I had overheard sounding frustrated with the dealership on the phone when I walked in, said that they weren't used to importing Hondas' so I think that's why the specs were all fouled up. They pick cars with digital odometers that are easier to convert to metric. They never swap the guage clusters.
I told him some history of Canadian colour and engine changes that the S had gone through and he was appreciative. After pointing the issue with the engine size I didn't bother to explain that some of the other specs. in the advert. were also incorrect.

Could be a salvage car?....that guy S2krebuilder on the board
does this with ITRS and S2000's....buys them half wrecked, fixes and then
sells them. At least he discloses this info to the potential buyers.

there are always errors on the autotrader with respect to features - Tilt steering is a common one.
First thing I thought when I read your first post was - American car?
No need to be so suspicious!!
And a question - how are digital odometers easier to convert? My US spec STi needs an entire cluster replacement if I want my odometer in KM's.

how's that, champ?
I know that you bought yours in Ohio. Did Honda Canada do any warranty work for you?
I don't have all the answers, just questions.
