2019 Muskoka Cruise - Sat Aug 10 (rain date Sun Aug 11)
Alright everyone, the annual Muskoka cruise has been set!
If you've been before, welcome back! If this is your first Muskoka cruise, it involves 3-4 hours of (spirited) driving, including pit stops. Two years ago, we did pit stops at Muskoka Brewery (for pickup) and Sweet Jesus Ice Cream, and ended up with dinner and drinks at Sawdust City Brewery.
GTA PRE-MEET UP (730 AM, LEAVE BY 8 AM): 3200 Rutherford Rd, Concord, ON (the parking lot behind the CT gas station)
MEET UP LOCATION: Lick's / Bar Burrito / Petro Canada (1 Horseshoe Lake Rd) - The Lick's is open at 10 am, but we'll be making a pit stop at a Wendy's by around 1230 pm
DEPARTURE TIME: 11 AM
LATE LUNCH: Sawdust City Brewery (will probably end here at about 3pm)
CRUISE ROUTE: Click here for route (hopefully it loads on Google Maps)
==========
GENERAL POINTERS:
1. Bring a radio if you have one (Channel 4, Sub-channel 0)
-This is, quite possibly, the most important thing to bring (especially for the Niagara Cruise). It'll prevent you from getting lost and it makes the ride more fun with the ongoing chatter.
2. Keep your headlights on
-It makes a big difference to be able to see the tail lights in front of you and the headlights in your mirrors.
3. 2-Car Rule
-Whenever you make a turn or are getting on/off the highway, make sure you can see 2 cars behind you before turning.
-if you really must turn because you're holding up traffic, then stop right after the turn so the car behind you can see you (there may have been a few cars between you guys).
4. Drive within the yellow and white lines
-We cannot emphasize this enough (especially for the Muskoka cruise) - safety is paramount and we're on public roads.
-If you cannot stay between the lines, then you're driving beyond your limit (or you're just being an ass).

I'd be down for this.
If the route is still pending; I highly recommend a lap around Lake Rosseau. Was just up there last weekend and its a blast. Some new tarmac in sections too.
Southwood road is twisty and fun to drive but the winters always chop it up.

I feel like this is a fairly ambiguously-worded post, haha, but I mean, everyone is welcome! Within the community, I can only think of about 1 or 2 female S2000 owners, but we've been trying to make the cruises more appealing to plus-ones. Last year, we did pit stops at breweries, for ice cream, and had dinner that had some nice (though not fancy) offerings. I would also encourage those making the trek to make a weekend out of it by finding a place in Muskoka or Collingwood.

Our next monthly meet will be on Wed July 31, and we'll probably be announcing another Niagara cruise after the Muskoka one. If you've never been out to any of our meets or cruises, I think you'll find us a friendly and social group who love our S2000s. Hope you're able to drop by some time!

Hi guys and girls ! Looking forward to my first s2k cruise and meeting some of you. I was wondering if Hwy 518 is a road that has been done in the past ? I haven’t been on it but I hear it’s a road loved by motorcycle riders.
Anybody heading out from the Kitchener/Cambridge area ?
