Age is not a factor for speed
As some of you know I'm going to Indy to see the US F1 GP, and you are aware of the fact that my new Titan has yet to arrive. These facts come together in such a way that I have to borrow my Mom's Outback to go camping at Indy (I would never take the S because of the lack of space it has to offer and that too applies to my CRX-SiR).
Sooooooooo, my Mom who is 70 will be driving my CRX-SiR for a week. On Sunday I wanted her to take the car for a spin so I could make sure she was comfortable in it and could deal with the two some inches of ground clearance.
Well let me just say, age has no bearing on speed, Mom taught me how to drive when I was a kid, and it was her dad who taught her and he was a race car mechanic back in the day of street races in Watkins Glen.
Perfectly smooth rev matched downshifts, wonderfully smooth heal toe maneuvers, bouncing off the rev limiter to take advantage of all the revs, pushing the car through the corners and in general driving very hard and very well. I have to admit, I was a bit surprised, but also kind of happy, I saw her drive that car better than I've seen some kids drive who are 50 years younger than she is.
So if you are in Upstate and you see a silver haired lady in a red CRX-SiR, beware, she may just give you an ass kickin'

Doug make sure to fit her for a sideways hat....that'd be hilarious to see the losers doubletake on that one! hehe
I tell he when the sunroof is open she has to wear one of my Ferrari hats, sideways...
I can just imagine to look of some kid as he pulls up next to her and revs her, only to then see who is in the driver's seat. ROFLMAO!
