The fact that the alarm didn't go off I'd guess that the installer of it programmed an extra fob. Sorry to hear.

Quite often the aftermarket management systems deactivate the oem immobilizer and perhaps other items too, seen that happen before on other stolen S2000's. Sorry to hear about this, if the car was that loud did you hear it drive away ?

Correct, so you just need to cut a key, which is 5 bucks. If there's an aftermarket alarm, then the Fob + 5 dollar key cut.

Someone knew the score on this one.

As others have stated, most likely the installer of the alarm / previous owner.
Second one this week is crazy..

I'm glad I turned mine into a garage queen that literally never comes out unless it's within my sight at all times.

this is terrible...

If the cars exhaust is truly that loud I am suprised a. you didnt hear it, and b. they had the balls to start it up and drive away.

This is the second car being stolen from driveways!! I would expect them to be stolen from parking lots if anything, there is so much more risk stealing from a house.

Both of my cars have loud exhausts and you can hear them from inside the house, plus my S2000 is always parked in my garage with cameras and house alarm

I try my best to deter but there is never any gaurantee :/

I wish you the best of luck recovering your car.

If they find it and its returned to you with any damage I don't think the title gets branded like that

Theft recovery would be that they stole enough parts off the car that insurance wrote it off, and then someone buys it from then insurance company and rebuilds it

Thanks a lot guys. Hoping for the best. I didnt hear the car but could have been disguised as my brothers. As he has a muffler and left before me. My dad actually heard the car, but thought it was me. Same with my neighbor.

splitfire performance did the work.
