Default Anyone interview to keep sharp?

Every once in a while I'll apply for a job that I have no interest in, just to make sure I can keep my interviewing skills sharp. You never know when your contract is up anymore, better to be sharp than dull...

Anyhow just seeing if I'm the only one who likes to waste the time of interviewers just to crush them with a no.

I was just offered a postion and turned it down because I was keeping skills up..hopefully it didn't foul the works too much heh.

Congrats on your new job.

This is a very valuable thing to do when you work in a field that has a high degree of turnover as the norm. I would like to say I do this "often" but the truth is I only have done it 2 or 3 times. I will admit, it is weird though when they make you an offer and then you really have to do the soul searching to see ifmaybe you should consider the change...

Naw it was for a VP position at CGI.

Like Doug said, I sat there thinking for a couple mins. Less travel, less money but less travel.

Then they said I'd have to be in Markham everyday and I said naw, I've decided to stay where I am. I could almost hear the hatred heh

Gawd I haven't interviewed for a job since 1991...Haven't worked for someone since 1993, never thought about honing interview skills.

Hell for that matter how long would references hold up for. None of mine would be verifiable.
