MTP04 Yeah I've been reading up on a few things, thanks for the reply. Many guys in the states are doing it...but again reliability is #1 for me. Well my other option for my car was a Vortech (N/A is such an uphill battle for hp/$$).

Dont let the F22 rev to 9k....you will damage your engine......KABOOM!

Seriously though. the F22 revs to 8k rpm for a reason. Its set there to maintain durability and reliability. Revving it to 9k is alot more stress then revving a F20 to 9k....

if you wanted to rev to 9, then you shouldn't have bought the ap2 factory set it to 8 for a reason. if they felt the engine could handle 9, they would've gave you 9.

Hell you can rev any engine beyond the redline, you just need to rebuild it more frequently.

There are lots of people who 9K redline their AP2s. Check in Under The Hood.

Yeah oviously you're forcing the engine to function outside of its designed range, so you're probably shortening the life. But hey, you wanna live long and safe or shorter and enjoy your life?

I still have plans for the car but I don't know if it'll be n/a or F/I. I've seen tons of the guys run the 2.2 to 9 but again, when you ask them what they did they don't want to answer. They might have had supporting mods and or stroker kits...

Anyways yeah I got the ECU on a deal so it'll probably be up for sale.

Now time to decide if I want to do Vortech or H/E/TP...
