I hear ya with the fryer.
I actually tried one out in Milpitas last year, so I think I'm ok. I have an area I've been secretly been building in the back for just such an occasion when I need to cook a turkey heh. I built the area nearly a full acre back.
The grills I did get aftermarket. They are only available through Home Depot, and I got them in the US.
You can buy the grills here with them at Home Depot, but not the replacement grills as of last year.
Also don't bother with the weber smoker boxes. I have one and its not adequate...you need the charcoal to produce the flavour.
Also if anyone is interested...one of the other forums I love is this one for the WSM http://www.virtualweberbullet.com/
You'll be hooked after you try it

good on ya' with the special turkey fryer area....I've never had one myself but I heard it's really delicious.
Weber Cast Iron grids are a Home Depot exclusive, so everyone will have to look there for them.
So the smoker box sucks? Are you using charcoal in there (wrong application I believe) or the wooden chips (correct application)?

In the smoker box I tried a lot of stuff...chips, pellets, flavor pellets etc.
Shit just burns up too fast and you have a funny tasting mess. Its ok if you want to blast out tough ribs with a decent flavour.
Now I just do overnight cooks...get the smoker setup, start it up and go to bed..in the morning I tend to it and eat in the early afternoon.
Fried turkey is surprisingly not greasy at all, just juicy.

I have contemplated buying some of the new square ceramic pieces but have not done so yet.
Another thing I do enjoy is to use Mesquite Wood Chips. You can find these at most places that sell grills and supplies. You take a handful and soak them in water for quite a while. Then when you start to grill you drop these wet pieces of wood onto the lava rocks or ceramic bricks. They don't really burn because they are so wet so the mesquite chips just sort of fill the grill with smoke. Yum!

those are the 'flavorizor' bars.
