Body Shop Recommendations in Toronto
Hi guys,
Got in a little fender bender on the weekend with my Subaru. Might use this as an opportunity to re-paint the car, and upgrade to a later model hood, grills, front bumper cover and lip.
Anyone recommend a shop in the GTA for this work?
Thanks

Price and quality kind of go hand in hand with body work, the place I went to does amazing work but they aren't cheap. I worked on my car for 2 months so I got a good taste of why you pay more for quality body work. Doing it properly involves a huge amount of labor and thats where most of the expense comes from...

Good point.
I guess I'm willing to sacrifice a little quality for a little cost. The fact is the car is a daily driver, 17 years old, and a winter driver as well. This will never be in a car show, it just has to be palatble to look at.
I don't want to pay $4000 for a perfect paint job, and I also don't want to pay $700 and be sick with the results. Looking for reasonable quality for a reasonable cost. I'm a reasonable guy.

best bet is to take it to someone you know and trust then. Don't you know any body shop guys? A lot will do side work for cash.
With body work though, the cost is going to come from prep work. If you can do some yourself like o'malley, then you get a lower price and sacrifice some of your time.
Gotta weigh the options!

I think the normal price for repainting the whole car is around $2500- $3000 and that is for painting only. Those other body parts upgrade are count piece by piece. Since you're doing all these together, you might talk to the shop for a discounted price.
Obviously, those quality jobs that O'malley mentioned are more expensive than this. Whatever you wanna do is fine, just go ask around. Look for a good rp shop, that's gonna save you a lot of time and money.
