Ok folks I'm starting a grass roots movement here.

If any of you have seen tv in the past few weeks, there is a new poptarts commercial that has this loser walking around in a fruity leather coat.

He walks up to a car with a PopTart dancing in the car to some crappy music. He then looks around and in his stupidity utters BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM like he's giving approval to a poptart. Its the dumbest concept ever.

Now that my car is away I'm very pissy and taking out my wrath on Kellog's

Your recent ad campaign for Poptarts is the worst bit of crap I've ever seen.

What demographic are you aiming at with this one? A moron walks up to a poptart (is it really even a tart?) rocking out in a car to some crappy disco music and then says BAAAAAUM after looking around for approval from another group of idiots?

You really should fire your PR people or whichever agency that came up with this "concept". I suspect it was dreamed up while coming down from a drug bender.

I used to love poptarts, I'd eat boxes and boxes of them a year and now I can't even imagine putting one of these cardboard with jelly concoctions in my maw ever again. In fact I will boycott all Kellogg's products from now on. Even my beloved Tony the Tiger will languish in the ilse of the local IGA for evermore.

I'm serious, you really have touched a nerve with me and I will not be happy until this claptrap is off the airwaves! Its horrible and I think its causing me far more grief than I should have to deal with.

I too have been very disturbed by this advert.

I can deal with alot of senseless crap..but this one is just too far over the edge.

Please support this movement, it is vital to the future. To think that my children my have to witness such attrocities in the future scares me to the bone... Stop this madness!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I've never eaten poptarts, however I did feel it would add a bit of substance to my statements.

I had one once, it was like Jam between cardboard, and gave me a stomach ache

 

They taste worse than that commercial! But I kind of thought that the poptart with the NEON was funny as hell. Reminded me of Rahul's S2000.

 

i believe they created this ad campaine to appeal to the teen customer... cause think of it this way.. if they will blow there whole pay cheque on every single nic nac for their ride, maybe they will purchase toasted cardboard with jam as well... its mmm mmm good! wait... thats not right... dame u cambell's! I think we should boycott those soup munching bastards too! lol
