Default Canadian Motor Speedway in Fort Erie

Not sure if you all saw the news this week but things are a go to build a new auto racing complex in Fort Erie that includes a NASCAR sized oval and 4.2 KM road course. It will likely host a wide variety of racing series and it's always good to have more options for track days. Road course will be longest in Canada.

Very exciting. They are trying to draw F1 to Ontario.

Bit of a stretch, but an exciting possibility.

I any event, would be a great track day venue.

Would be fun to try an oval track once. The forced induction guys will probably love this.

There's an oval track at mosport, you don't need to wait for this new track to try an oval

They've been talking about this for years now. I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Just watching a show about the new F1 track in Texas. I doubt they would bring it to Ontario considering Montreal is a few hours away.

Yeah old man Ecclestone would never give Canada two F1 races and I can't see a track in Fort Erie taking it away from Montreal. For us amateurs though I would love to see a large track like that so close to us, if it does happen I hope they build some elevation changes into the track, too many tracks around here are simply long parking lots (with the exception of Mosport)
