Claybar
All you need for lubricating spray is soap and water, say baby shampoo and water- i got that on good advice from the 3M rep (a good friend). The clay bar needs to be tossed every 3 or so full car cleanings, especially if dirty then more often. Don't drop it on the ground ever. The CT/parts source stuff is just fine.

Don't quote me on it because it has been a while, but I beleieve it was $50 and you get two bars. I find they are the most abrasive clay bars that I've used and really work deep in removing impurities caked into the paint. I have used to the mothers kit and yes it will suffice but I find the car brite bar further superior. They're tire shine, car wash soap, all purpose cleaner/degreaser, rubbing compound, leather conditioner and air freshner are all great products too having used them in previous years as a detailer.
